Diabetic Foot Winter SchoolNew
Dear Esteemed Doctors and Nurses who Love Wound Management and Are Dedicationly Involved with Wounds,
We are very pleased to organize the educational meeting titled “Diabetic Foot Winter School,” which coincides with a special day celebrated in many parts of the world.
Our association has organized 18 congresses on the diagnosis and treatment of wounds and 19 wound care courses in different provinces of our country. We have significantly contributed to the increase in interest among various medical disciplines towards wounds and burns, the establishment of wound treatment centers, and the growth of related healthcare professionals. In our congresses held internationally over the past six years, we have hosted prominent scientists at the top of their fields worldwide, who have shared all the latest information about wounds with us. Our most recent congress was an international scientific celebration, featuring all the key figures from London King’s College, one of the most important centers in Europe, along with 24 international speakers and delegates from 21 different countries.
In addition to these scientific activities, we have organized annual educational meetings at Ankara Medical Faculty and Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Hospitals. This year, influenced by the kind and persistent invitations from Mr. Dr. Ahmet Erkılıç of Gaziantep City Hospital, we have decided to hold our meeting for the first time outside our two major cities. Based on our discussions with him and the feedback from our last congress, we have decided that the topic of our meeting will be “Diabetic Foot,” which accounts for more than 60% of the causes of amputations. We are certain that Mr. Erkılıç and his team will warmly welcome all participants and that it will be an extraordinary educational school that will not be inferior to the congress itself. We would like to thank the hosts in advance for these valuable invitations.
We would be delighted by the high participation of our young colleagues who especially love wounds but do not yet have experience, coming from nearby provinces and districts, particularly Gaziantep, to our winter school where fundamental treatment principles will be discussed. In all our educational activities, the support of the industry representatives from this region, who have always stood by our association and whose sincere support we have always felt, is invaluable for participants.
This meeting, to which we have devoted great importance and prepared with much love, will always be remembered fondly, and every valuable contribution we make will be a source of happiness for us.
